Hello. I'm Robert Plates, Founder and Lead Developer of Genesis Software Corp.
	Genesis Software Corp. is focused on offering accounting and software solutions directly addressing your business needs at a reasonable cost. My personal experience is broad in the context of computer programming. For many years I was involved in "system" level programming coordinating electronic hardware to communicate and work together to acheive a purpose. When I got involved in writing business "Accounting" software, I realized that accounting "systems" were very similar to computer systems. Accounting systems manage and track the flow of finances while computer systems manage and track the flow of information. Over the past 5+ years I have focused on customizing the QuickBooks accounting system to work with various business models to make it easier for business people to operate their business. I chose QuickBooks because I use it for my business and through Intuit QuickBooks training and certification (and a little experimentation) have become an expert at using it and extending it in creative ways utilizing my programming background.

After 20+ years of writing computer software I've spent a great deal of time working for large corporations and found that the larger the organization used to create a software product is, the further away from the customer's vision the end product will be. Why ??? Everyone in the development chain has a vision that is just a little different from each other. (If you have ever played the game "Telephone" you know what I mean). So I decided to keep my company small and nimble so my customer's vision (even though at times my customer may be a large corporation) does not get lost in translation and we can deliver the product in a reasonable amount of time.

My associates are hand picked. Not because they may be super geniuses, (albeit highly educated), but because they listen carefully, pay attention to the details, and are meticulous in their work habits.

I have built and will continue to build my business by referrals.
