Account Management Screen

The Account screen displays, in list form, all the accounts in the Remote Register software. Pictured on the left is a screen shot of the Account List screen. In addition to listing the accounts in the system, each accounts "Balance" is displayed along with a general indicator grouping the "type" of account each account is grouped with.
Even though there are a number of different "account types", there is a further subdivision that indicates an account is a "Funding Source" account, and a "Category" account.
Typical Funcing Source accounts are accounts of the Bank or Credit Card type and are indicated by the transaction register icon ( ).
Category accounts are further broken down as Expense type of accounts and Income types of accounts. The Expense type account is indicated by the ledger icon ( ).

The Income type of account is indicated by the money icon ( ). The account with the leading asterisk (*) character (Family Checking in the diagram) is the current Default Account. The default account is the initial Funding Source account that is selected when you add a new transaction to the software.
The balance for each account is adjusted when transactions in the register are made against the account. In addition to manually entry, Accounts can be "Imported" directly from your Financial Management software
